Building Description: An article from the FFKR Architects firm describes the structure: “The arena space is a versatile facility which can host basketball games and a variety of theatrical and special events activities. Lighting platforms, overhead catwalks, backdrop curtains, and projection screens are permanently installed to allow for rapid conversion from one event type to the next. A separate ticket facility is being located one floor below the main concourse so that ticketing may be carried on independent of the area function. Facilities for varsity and freshman teams, visiting teams, officials, the press, scenery work rooms, band rooms, and special rooms are provided off the playing floor.”1
