Project Description
Inoway was the executive director and president for the Multi-Ethnic Housing Corporation responsible for this structure. Inoway “was the prime mover, pusher, catalyst and Chairman of the Executive Baord [for this building]. It took ten years from the talking state to rally organizations of the diverse ethnic groups, to working with the city planners, and developers to actually getting the funds. Construction and completed of this 15-story concrete, fire, and earthquake proof structure took two years. His [Inoway] unique skill and dedication is without parallel in the history of Utah’s Ethnic House for the elderly. Mayor Ted Wilson of Salt Lake City personally honored and congratulated him [Inoway] at the open house of the new apartment last spring 1981.”1
